Overview

“This course will provide key knowledge about remote sensing in agriculture, crop monitoring and advances in disease detection.

The use of Drones for precision agriculture can significantly increase yield, adapt fertilizers and agro-chemical doses to crop needs, and provide tools for better agronomic decisions. All this fosters a product with a better quality and a more environmentally friendly footprint.

Drones have proved to be an effective, economical and flexible tool for remote sensing applications. Agriculture is the world’s largest industry, employing more than one billion people and generating over billions of dollars worth of food annually. The world population is projected to reach 10 billion people by 2050 so it presents an urgent need to increase a global food production. This makes inevitable the global adoption of precision agriculture.”
