CATUAV advances in the development of its new Technology Center

The new CATUAV Technology Center (CTC) will be staying in a bioclimatic building that is in an advanced stage of design. This new building will be fully integrated into the terrain and will have ‘A’ certification in energy efficiency. Solar panels and wind turbines will provide self-sufficiency in electricity. The first phase of this building will have an area of 225 m2 on one floor, which may be extended later to suit future needs. The start of construction is scheduled for autumn this year.

In a major step toward advancing global firefighting technology, 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵, an international consortium of 16 companies, lead by CTTC and BCN Drone Center, has been named a semi-finalist in the prestigious XPRIZE 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The four-year, $11 million initiative aims to accelerate the development of innovative tools to combat destructive wildfires and promote sustainable coexistence with natural fire cycles.
