BCN Drone Center hosts the project Advanced technologies for critical flight systems for UAS (TASI) together with three partners and two technology centers. This project is subsidized by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan Program and the State Program for Business Leadership in R&D&i, the State Plan for Scientific Research and Technical and Innovation 2017-2020.
The project consortium involves aerospace companies with extensive experience, TTI NORTE, ABIONICA SOLUTIONS, TEMAI INGENIEROS, and the participation of the R&D centers FADA-CATEC and UPV, which combine top-level research and industry to create new solutions for UAS operating in the specific category environment.
The general objective of the TASI-UAS project is the definition and development of new technologies in critical flight systems for UAS of a specific category, such as transponders or energy management systems. It will integrate different manned aviation systems, such as sense-and-avoid algorithms or ADSB traffic, and will adapt them for use in UAS.
BCN Drone Center will configure the flight geography, being the test scenario of the project to reproduce different configurations, situations and conflict resolution. Being in a rural environment with segregated airspace, the BDC is the ideal environment to test a project of this dimensions.
