This June, BCN Drone Center has become a hub of knowledge and innovation in drone technology, hosting a new edition of its intensive training program. Under ideal weather conditions and in a unique learning environment, professionals from various backgrounds come together to build skills, share insights, and experience hands-on UAV training at its best.
Key modules include:
UAS Applications Workshop, focused on real-world drone use cases in logistics, precision agriculture, mapping, and surveillance, with field-based practical sessions.
UAS Design & Construction, held for the first time, gives participants the opportunity to design and build their own drones while learning the fundamentals of aerodynamics, materials, and assembly.
Regulatory and SORA Training, delivered in collaboration with Murzilli Consulting and DroneTalks, covers the European legal framework and the SORA methodology for operations in the Specific category.
STS and Open Category Training, which prepares participants to conduct drone missions under the Open and Standard Scenarios regulations.
Beyond the technical content, this edition stands out for the strong sense of community and collaboration among attendees. The combination of innovation, cultural diversity, and hands-on learning creates a powerful space for networking and professional growth.

In a major step toward advancing global firefighting technology, 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵, an international consortium of 16 companies, lead by CTTC and BCN Drone Center, has been named a semi-finalist in the prestigious XPRIZE 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. The four-year, $11 million initiative aims to accelerate the development of innovative tools to combat destructive wildfires and promote sustainable coexistence with natural fire cycles.
