Wrappping Up an Intense Month of Drone Training
June 30, 2025
In June 2025, BCN Drone Center hosted a full month of specialized drone training sessions at its facilities, welcoming participants from across the globe. From drone applications to regulatory compliance, the center became a hub of hands-on learning and international exchange.
Throughout the month, several focused training programs were held, each targeting a key area of the drone industry:
UAS Applications Workshop: Students explored real-world use cases of drone technology, including drone delivery, mapping, precision agriculture, and aerial surveillance. The course combined theory with live demonstrations, showing how drones are transforming multiple sectors.
UAS Design & Construction: Participants learned to design and build their own fixed-wing and multirotor drones, gaining practical experience in aerodynamics, materials, and assembly.
Regulatory and SORA Training: In collaboration with Murzilli Consulting, this course covered the Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) process, crucial for operating safely and legally in the Specific category.
STS and Open Category Training: This module focused on European drone regulations, helping attendees prepare for operations under the Standard Scenarios and Open category.
A highlight of the month was the strong international presence. Students came from Belgium, France, India, Japan, Malaysia, Malta, Montenegro, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, and the United Kingdom, turning the center into a vibrant, multicultural learning environment.
June’s activity reinforced BCN Drone Center’s mission to provide world-class drone education and promote global collaboration in the UAV sector. With such a diverse and intensive training calendar, the center continues to shape the next generation of drone professionals.
