October 24, 2025
The BCN Drone Days 2025 edition, held on October 8th and 9th, concluded successfully, bringing together over 130 participants from all five continents for two intense days of innovation, discussion, and collaboration within the drone sector. The event solidified its status as a crucial meeting point for professionals seeking to advance the technology and operations of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
Satellites and BVLOS as the Central Focus
This year’s conference theme centered on how satellite communications are unlocking new horizons for the drone industry, specifically by enabling safe, efficient, and truly connected BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) operations. Experts highlighted that this technology is not only redefining drone connectivity but is also laying the groundwork for the next stage of aerial autonomy. Organizers noted that while BVLOS represents the capability, the next step is what we do with it.
