BCN Drone Center hosts the project Advanced technologies for critical flight systems for UAS (TASI) together with three partners and two technology centers. This project is subsidized by the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan Program and the State Program for Business Leadership in R&D&i, the State Plan for Scientific Research and Technical and Innovation 2017-2020.

BCN Drone Center and the Chinese inspection and certification company CCIC Europe Testing have signed a collaboration agreement that will allow drones manufactured in China to be certified in compliance with European regulations. This pioneering agreement represents a great opportunity to strengthen relations and bidirectional trade between Catalonia, Europe and China in a sector in full growth such as drones and urban air mobility.

The new EASA regulation has opened the doors to being able to operate UAS weighting more than 25 kg.

REALITY has performed its Final Workshop in the BCN Drone Center. The goal of REALITY is to promote the use of EGNOS for safe drone operations, in the short term and in the context of the EU drone operations vision, the U-space.

The new Drone Unit of the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan Police) has reserved two weeks at the BCN Drone Center to conduct internal training and flight tests.

The BCN Drone Center has processed for the company Flock Drone Art the operational authorization to operate drone swarms under the new EASA regulations, this being the first granted in Spain.
